Grant Funding for Residents and Organisations
People who live in Thornton, or run a community group or organisation based in Thornton, have access to a number of funding sources.

In summary:
- Up to £250 micro grants for individuals are available – apply to the community council
- Up to £500 micro grants for community groups and organisations are available – apply to the community council
- Up to £800 education and training grants are available to learners 16+ embarking on further or higher education courses including apprenticeships. This fund also includes up to £100 to contribute toward DVLA driving theory & practical tests – apply to Foundation Scotland
- Up to £2,000 for learners 16+ embarking on further or higher education courses including apprenticeships – apply to the RR Wood Educational Trust
- Up to £10,000 grants are available for community groups and organisations – apply to Foundation Scotland
