Advice on how to report anti-social behaviour

Published: 8 September 2024

Residents have recently raised serious concerns about criminality and anti-social behaviour in our village. PC Craig McGowan (Community Police) and Mike Collins (Safer Communities, Fife Council) advised on how to report these incidents.

Criminality and anti-social behaviour should be reported to the police. This can be done anonymously through Crimestoppers following this link- Giving information anonymously | Crimestoppers (crimestoppers-uk.org)  or you can call 0800 555 111. Alternatively you can email our Community Police directly at- GlenrothesCentralThorntonCPT@Scotland.police.uk -giving full details of the incident or concern. You can also contact the police, without anonymity, by calling 101 when the incident is happening.

Anti-social behaviour can also be reported to Safer Communities at Fife Council through this link Report antisocial behaviour | Fife Council . However, any criminality must also be reported to the police for  action to be taken.

Serious criminality and dangerous incidents should be reported immediately, at the time, by dialling 999.
