We’ve Moved Location for our Public Meetings
From Wednesday 1st May, Thornton Community Council will start holding its public meetings at Thornton Bowling Club.

We hope to offer you a warm welcome to our monthly public meetings at our new venue.
Thornton Bowling Club will be hosting us in one of their two halls.
Our meetings will continue to start promptly at 7pm, however the regular day of our meeting will be changing to the first Monday of the month from June onward (3rd). Keep an eye on this website or our community calendar for up-to-date information of any changes.
Meeting at the bowling club will provide us with the following benefits:
- Free refreshments (Tea, Coffee, biscuits etc.)
- Free Wi-Fi – leading to hybrid meetings
- Display screen
- Paid refreshments available from bar
- Ample car parking
Thornton Bowling Club are a central part of our community, hosting a weekly “Warm Welcome” event on Tuesdays at lunchtime along with supporting the Cafe Inc. initiative during School holidays. Details of when these events are held are kept up-to-date in our community calendar.
Thornton Community Council sincerely hope you can make it to our next meeting to have your say on events and issues affecting our village and community. Your voice is important. If you don’t come along, we can’t hear it!
